Our Vision
Look from the top of Amana
– Song of Solomon 4:8
The name Amana means truth and it comes from a mountain mentioned in Song of Solomon 4:8 which says to “Look from the top of Amana.” Here at Amana we rely heavily on the Word of God and the Holy Spirit which leads us into all truth!
At Amana, we have a deep passion for seeing the un-churched becoming fully devoted followers of Christ. We believe that in order for that to happen, one must be born again (John 3:3, Ezekiel 36:25-27, 2 Corinthians 5:17), baptized in the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:1-4), and raised up in discipleship (Matthew 28:19-20). At Amana there is a heavy emphasis on discipleship. We disciple others by being devoted to the apostles’ teaching (the entire bible), to fellowship, to the breaking of bread with one another, and to prayer (Acts 2:42-32). We also have formal discipleship classes that take place midweek. In addition, we have connect groups that meet together in building community in one another’s lives. If one can chase a thousand, and 2 can chase ten thousand (Deuteronomy 32:30), then we believe that we are spiritually empowered in an exponential way when we are in community (“common unity”) together. Through our connect groups, we are confident that you will meet others like yourself at Amana. We also know that you can become a fully devoted disciple of Jesus, no matter where you are in your journey in life. Whether you are a child, a teen or an adult. From someone who’s never stepped foot in church before, to someone who has been serving Jesus for a lifetime, we believe you will continually grow into a greater representative of Jesus Christ here at Amana!
