Look from the top of Amana
– Song of Solomon 4:8
The name Amana means truth and it comes from a mountain mentioned in Song of Solomon 4:8 which says to “Look from the top of Amana.” Here at Amana we rely heavily on the Word of God and the Holy Spirit which leads us into all truth!
At Amana, we have a deep passion for seeing believers becoming fully devoted followers of Christ. We believe that in order for that to happen, one must be born again (John 3:3, Ezekiel 36:25-27, 2 Corinthians 5:17), baptized in the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:1-4), and raised up in discipleship (Matthew 28:19-20). At Amana, we believe that Jesus is the author and finisher of all spiritual life in the believer. We continually point the believer away from self, and fully to Jesus, in constant dependency, in Christ, to form His life, work, and character into the believer. This is the greatest form of being baptized and hidden in Christ. We believe this is the posture of true discipleship, in the things of Christ, and by Christ! We also believe this is the posture which best allows Christ to reveal Himself, through the believer, to the world. At Amana, we have stripped the complexity of modern church away, and have given Jesus all the space we can, in hopes of Him filling the church with the awareness of Himself – both in the church, and in the believers therein. We hope, if compelled by the Holy Spirit, you will come and experience the life and teaching of Jesus at Amana Christian Fellowship.
